Katherine Mahosky received her Master of Science degree in Clinical Speech Pathology and Audiology in 1982 from Northern Arizona University. She became certified by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association in 1983. Katherine is currently pursuing her doctorate in education in Curriculum and Instruction with a projected
completion date of May 2011.
Katherine has worked in the Flagstaff area since 1979 serving children and adults with communication disorders in a variety of settings. She currently oversees graduate students pursuing an interdisciplinary certificate in Disability Policy and Practice at the Institute for Human Development at NAU. From 1990 through 1995 she owned and operated a private practice in Flagstaff. From 1995 through August 2006 she was the Clinic Director of the NAU Speech and Hearing Clinic which is part of the Communication Sciences and Disorders Program.
Katherine’s specialty areas include evaluation and treatment of infants and toddlers with communication delays and persons with multiple disabilities. Research interests include adolescents and adults with language/learning disorders including the impact of these disorders on reading development.
